# Introduction

## What is Polyscout?

Polyscout is an automated Up or Down trading bot built on top of Polymarket and designed to run entirely inside Telegram.

It allows anyone to trade short-term crypto price movements across multiple timeframes starting from as little as one dollar. You do not need to manage charts, place manual orders, or switch between apps. You choose a market, define your rules, and Polyscout monitors the market and executes trades for you.

Polyscout is a verified Polymarket Builder, and all execution volume is tracked publicly on the official Polymarket leaderboard. The bot is live in public beta and can be accessed at <https://t.me/polyscoutbot>

## Built as an Automation Engine

At its core, Polyscout is an execution engine that continuously monitors markets, evaluates strategy conditions, and manages trade entry, exits, and settlement in real time.

The Telegram bot is one interface built on top of this engine, designed to make automation accessible to individual traders. In parallel, Polyscout exposes the same execution and strategy system through a public HTTP API. This allows other bots, trading terminals, and backend services to embed automated Up or Down trading directly into their own products without rebuilding market monitoring, execution logic, or order management.

Both interfaces run on the same backend and follow the same execution path. Whether a trade is triggered from Telegram or from an external integration, it is evaluated, signed, submitted, and settled using the same rules, signing flow, and infrastructure. The result is a single automation layer that can be used anywhere Up or Down markets are traded.

## Jump Right In

This documentation is split into two main parts.

If you want to trade using Polyscout, start with the **Quick Start** section. It walks you through wallet setup, funding, creating your first strategy, and tracking performance step by step.

If you are a developer or platform looking to integrate Polyscout, head to the **For Developers** section. It explains how the API works, how execution and signing are handled, and how to connect Polyscout to your own system.

Both paths use the same engine. The difference is how you choose to interact with it.
